Arnold L. Johnsons Bio:
RNO is taken from my name Arnold L Johnson. I laugh and say I am within myself. Started drawing houses in my teens, used pencil and pall-point pen. My renderings won me a scholarship to Case Western Reserve Univ. I was unprepared for college but went anyway. Architectural Design, Art History, a little painting, sculpture and life drawing, just enough to get some credits. The campus library provided a richer though undocumented education more along the lines of my interest. I loved interior design and African art aesthetics. After two years at Case I became an electrical draftsman, then a PC technician. I kept sketchbooks and dabbled but was reluctant to call myself an artist. Finally I scanned all my sketchbooks into my computer. I couldn't believe all the stuff I had done, looked like art to me. My work is abstract, decorative interior design graphics. My tools are pen & paper, a scanner, a computer and printer. The print is the art. I consider myself an outsider art dabbler, not a school trained art mercenary (artist for heir).
